With a soul deep passion and commitment to exploring some of the world’s most unique terroirs for both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Brian has spent the last 20 years working with top producers in Sonoma, California, New Zealand as well as Niagara, Canada before joining KIN Vineyards in Ottawa, Canada. Brian excels in the extreme winegrowing of Ontario’s most northerly plantings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir on the unique soils of the Carp Ridge.

Lorraine Mastersmith is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Corporate Commercial and Capital Markets Groups. Her legal practice focuses largely on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on assisting emerging and established companies across a variety of sectors with commercial agreements, mergers & acquisitions and capital raising. Lorraine is the Ottawa lead for the firm’s Blockchain and Smart Contracts Group. She has assisted clients in raising hundreds of millions of dollars in financing from banks, angel investors, private equity and venture capital firms. With extensive experience in the listing of capital pool companies and the completion of qualifying transactions on the TSX Venture Exchange, Lorraine has acted as lead counsel on a number of public listings and subsequent financings.
Over the course of her career, Lorraine has served on both private and public company boards. She currently serves as an independent director and member of the Audit and Compensation Committees of Ross Video Limited. She is also currently on the board of the Diefenbunker Canada’s Cold War Museum and serves on the Advisory Board for Elevate International. Past board service includes Thoroughbred Capital Inc. (TSXV: TBC.P) and Women Entrepreneurs of Canada.
Lorraine is actively involved as a Regional Ambassador Council member for Women Get on Board, an organization devoted to the advancement of qualified women to corporate boards. She also volunteers her time with the executive committee of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation.

A proven and effective leader with a history of progressive and expanding executive roles within technology companies. A values-based leader, with a collaborative style, effectively integrating strategic and operational initiatives serving both short term business needs and longer term strategic vision. Shaun has more than 30 years of experience in finance and executive leadership positions in public and private high-technology companies previously holding the position of Chief Financial Officer at Quarterhill (and its predecessor WiLAN) where he was responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of Quarterhill’s operations including business planning, accounting, budgeting and financial reporting efforts. Prior to WiLAN, his position at BreconRidge Manufacturing Solutions was Chief Financial Officer where he was responsible for overall financial management. His accomplishments while at BreconRidge included leading private placement transactions that raised more than $40 million and completing numerous corporate acquisitions.
Shaun holds a B. Com degree from Carleton University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
