Harvest Volunteer
Description
Harvest has begun at Kin Vineyards! We will start picking our Chardonnay grapes. Initially, Saturday the 23rd, we will pick our Clone 76 Chardonnay from our bottom block. We will use these grapes to begin our very own Blanc du Blancs program. We will then continue with our Chardonnay pick on Saturday Sept. 30 and Sunday Oct. 1. Picking our Pinot Noir grapes will likely be in the week of Sept. 26-29 and once we determine the specific dates, we will post those on here as well.
If you’ve ever wanted to pick grapes, here’s your chance. To be fair, it is pretty demanding work and you are in a farm environment so dress accordingly. If you have your own pruning shears, please bring them. We have plenty of pruners to provide if you need them. We will start at 8:30 in the morning with some training led by our winemaker Brian Hamilton and then head out to the vineyard at 9. We anticipate picking for about 3 hours and will finish with a glass or two of our estate wine and a pinsa of your choice from our onsite food services. We would expect to have you back to your regular weekend affairs by 1:00pm.
We would sincerely appreciate 20 volunteers per day so, we’ve put this ticket system in place – you make your reservation here so we can ensure we are prepared to host you.
In our business, this really is the most exciting time of the year!
Thank you #kincommunity for all of your support, now, and throughout the entire year!
