The Lincoln Lakeshore and Carp Ridge grapes were fermented and barrel aged separately before blending just prior to bottling. The lots were fermented with cultured yeast and had a total average maceration time of 17 days prior to pressing, settling and barrel aging over nine months in French oak cooperage of which 15% was new oak. Sterile filtration at bottling.
This wine has a pale garnet color with a nose of red cherry, and cranberry with underlying sweet tobacco and spice notes. The palate is medium weight with bright acidity and presents the same notes as found on the nose. A classic, youthful pinot noir.
