Join us for an unforgettable evening as KIN Vineyards, The Twin Muses, and Closson Chase Vineyards come together to host a winemaker’s event like no other.

We are thrilled to announce the new date for our first Joint Winemaker’s Paring Event, the first collaborative event between KIN Vineyards’ winemaker Brian Hamilton and Closson Chase Vineyard’s Winemaker Keith Tyers. 
This carefully curated evening will feature a 3-course pairing menu, expertly paired with KIN Vineyards & Closson Chase wines, celebrating the art of winemaking, the regional differences between PEC and Ottawa, and, of course, the harmony between food and terroir. Each dish is designed to complement both wines, while Brian Hamilton and Keith Tyers guide guests through the winemaking process and the stories behind each vintage.
Event Preview (Full Vegan Menu Available)

On December 4th at 6:30 pm, a lucky few guests will be welcomed to KIN’s Twin Muses with some sparkling wine Keith has hand selected from the Closson cellars, the night will kick off with two wines from each of our estates, same grape variety, same growing year, but here’s the fun part – you won’t know who’s wine is who’s until the end of the pairing! 

From our owner Shaun – “you’ve heard of dueling pianos… this is dueling pinots!” 

We’re aiming to highlight the differences between our two growing regions, while Keith and Brian explain the differences their winemaking techniques can have on a finished wine, and of course, see how a food pairing can change our impression of a wine. 

  • Sparkling welcome wine  – 
  •  Closson vs KIN “ two white wines”
  • Pairing – Seared Scallop on a green pea puree or Oyster Mushroom (vegan)
  • Pallet Cleanse – Lemon Sorbet & Dunrobin Earl Grey Gin –
  • KIN vs Closson “two red wines”
  • Pairing – Braised Lamb or Squash Cannelloni (vegan)
  • Cleanse –  Apple Tartar – featuring locally grown apples
  • Closson vs KIN “two more red wines”
  • Pairing – Confit pork tenderloin or Confit celeriac & cherry compote (vegan)
  •   Fortified wine to end the evening  –

Each guest will leave with a goody bag of treats to remember the night.
